Burundi: Building a Framework to Enhance Debt Management

International sanctions coupled with COVID pandemic and war in Ukraine led Burundi to build up the domestic liabilities to cover its gross financing needs. Burundi has continued to receive various technical assistance through DMF to improve its debt management capacity and strengthen institutions.
